Ice Ice Baby

I have reached a new low. Yesterday I purposely went to the grocery store just because I know that it is *slightly* air conditioned. While there I pretened to be comparing products in the frozen food section just so I could stick my head in the freezers for a few minutes. I take at least two cold showers a day just to cool off, but that only helps for about five minutes. The other 23 hours and fifty minutes I just sweat.

I feel like I am always complaining about the weather here. However, my cousin and his girlfriend just came to visit and the heat hit them as hard as it has hit us, so we aren't just wimps. When the Wingfields were here they bought a fan just for their hotel room in Paris because it was so hot. When you sweat constantly from morning until night and then all through the night to the morning again you just never feel like doing anything. Poor Kyle has eaten his fare share of fruit, salad and sandwiches just so I don't have to turn on the oven, but I think I have run out of non-cooked food ideas. Does ice cream count as a meal?

I feel your pain. I'm glad to be back in the South with A/C. I hope you guys can cool off!

Come over, our house is 22Âșc and you can sit with your feet in the baby pool! I even found ice coffee mix at the GB so we can have coffee and be cool!!!

Really, I'm a nice Southern Grrrl and not raised to use nasty words, but the phrase that keeps circulating through my brain as I sweat and sizzle in Brussels is that, "It's too f***ing hot here. I can't stand another f***ing minute of this s**t. I. Want. To. Go. Home. Now."

Sigh. I don't say it out loud. Just think it. All the time.

Also went to the GB last night and was disappointed it wasn't cooler. Del Haize, THAT's the place to be. Party on next to the frozen vegetables!

ice cream IS a meal. as teenagers my parents would take my brother and i to the ice cream place FOR DINNER. then later, after getting a drivers license, i tought all my friends that a large icecream really is ok to eat for dinner! just ask my parents, they'll tell you.
