Just call me Martha

Any one of you that has seen my handwriting or heard my singing knows that I do not have a creative nor artistic bone in my body. I have always said that my talents lie in people, not art. However, in the year that I have been here I have started to dabble in a few artistic ventures. First, I took up knitting, however I am still only at the level of making scarves. Next, I did a few counted cross stitch patterns. Most recently I have begun making necklaces. Thank goodness long beaded necklaces are popular!
But my biggest/craziest project yet has been to re-weave the seat of a stool. My friend Kelly and I came across this old stool and she encouraged me to take it on as a new project. Who knows how the finished product will look, but it is coming along pretty well so far...
