When I was at home over Christmas I went to a good friend's wedding in North Carolina. I shared a hotel room with three of my good girlfriends from college. As we were getting ready for the wedding, I couldn't help but notice that all four of us were wearing some type of Spandex/Spanx/tummy tucking/butt enhancing/lycra type body conformer. I was annoyed that none of us (myself included) felt comfortable enough with our bodies to just put on a dress and go. That is, until I came across this picture of Katie Holmes. Look closely on the left and you can see her Spanx. Ah-ha! Celebrities have to wear this kind of stuff too! This got me to searching and I found this great website that even shows what types to lycra the stars like to wear (along with a few other undergarmets).
As Truvy (from Steel Magnolias says): "Well, these thighs haven't gone out of the house without lycra on them sice I was 14."

Have you ever priced the pretty lingerie in the Belgian stores here?
I saw a pair of panties I liked at Galleria Inno, picked them up, checked the price and tried not to gasp--almost $50 (40 euros). Not a shaper, no spandex, just panties.
My butt's not worthy.
