Photos from Charlie's Second Week
Kyle and I had a little trouble picking out our favorites, but here are a few from this past week.
Charlie is long and skinny although we can definitely feel from the soreness of our arms that he is gaining weight. We go to the doctor tomorrow for the first checkup so we'll let you know how much he has gained since leaving the hospital.
Kyle doing a late night feeding and checking the intake between burps. I promise we normally have him bundled up!
Dad and I did a little photo session when the sun was shining one morning.
One of the first days in the hospital Kyle swaddled Charlie up and started singing to him to calm him down. Kyle loves Mexican food so somehow a swaddled baby reminded him of a burrito. Now when Charlie is swaddled (which he often is) we call him Charlie Burrito or Charlie-rito for short. To think we spent so much time trying to come up with a name that couldn't be turned into a weird nickname and then we give him one ourselves.
Charlie loves his hands and he seems to have abnormally long fingers, just like his dad.
When the lights get too bright Charlie creates his own sleep mask for himself.
But the best place to sleep is on Dearie's chest (my mom).

Emily, He is beautiful!!!
What an amazing baby! He's gorgeous! I couldn't help but notice that, although I think he looks like both of you, in the pic of Kyle doing a late night feeding and the one of Charlie after it they have the same mouth/expression! Your family is beautiful...can't wait to meet him! Praying for more sleep, less "issues" with post-baby mom, and more videos of parenting in action! You all are great!!
