This is our log of everything Charlie does. We write down when he wakes up, eats, sleeps, pees, poops and is fussy. Yes, it seems very 'first time parent' but it has really helped us when we have needed to look back and see how he reacted to a certain type of formula, if he was constipated or how long he has been asleep. We have even taken things a step further and put the data into an Excel spreadsheet so we are able to see if there is a trend of things. It seems that right now he is on a pretty regular schedule of waking up between 7-8am, not doing well with his morning nap, sleeping well the rest of the day, going 3 hours between feedings and then sleeping well during the night.

Sweet Charlie swaddled and asleep...

This is my view about seven hours a day. Charlie eats eight times a day (Kyle takes one shift) and it usually takes him almost an hour to finish a bottle. Charlie and I have alot of time to look at each other.

The scene in our kitchen every evening. Because we have to clean and sterilize the bottles every night, we are already tired of being at the sink by the time the real dishes are ready to be washed. This is why I have been trying to make more and more one dish meals (also known as sandwiches).
Charlie does a great job of always kicking off his socks. Because of this talent, the photo below is a very common view of our floors -- socks strewn across it that have been kicked out from under his blankets.

The word bottle has taken on a whole new meaning in our lives.
We spend a lot of time at the changing table.
But we spend the majority of our time cuddling with Charlie and taking pictures of him.
